The first venture of PK Group in Malappuram, Kerala was the PK Saw Mill started in 1980 by Mr. Pattarkadavan Kunhankutty (Kunjappa). Initially, the work involved wood cutting as per customer requirements for building modest homes. Wood used was mostly of Jackfruit trees, coconut trees, palm trees, Mango trees etc.
